A beautiful, large, showy, impressive, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, cubic crystal group of Fluorite from the El Hammam Mine in Morocco. The color is a rich saturated green hue not often from this locality, and the strength of the color is amplified by the fact that the crystals are very good sized, measuring up to 7.5 cm on edge. Dozens of sparkling, white/colorless Quartz crystals - many of which show a somewhat "Herkimer"-style bi-pyramidal habit - are scattered all over the display side of the specimen. The back of the piece features a very thin frosting of micro Quartz, so even though it's not fully crystallized, it's not an exposed broken face either. A tiny bit of metallic Pyrite can be seen here and there for a nice touch. This mine has produced a great range of colors of Fluorite specimens over the years, and this particular piece has one of the most desirable hues that you can ask for in Fluorite. This one is valued at $1,500 for the size, quality and gorgeous color.
