Item Description
This is a wonderful small cabinet sized specimen of what has been dubbed "Tanzanite Fluorite" from this fairly recent discovery in China. These pieces have received this nickname for their beautiful purple color in indoor lighting, which shifts to more of a blue-purple color in sunlight, reminiscent of the purple and blue colors seen in Tanzanite crystals. Please note that there is no Tanzanite on this specimen, the nickname is indicative of the color. This piece features several fine quality, very well-formed, sharp crystals of gemmy richly colored Fluorite that show a combination of cubic and dodecahedral faces measuring up to 1.1 cm on a Quartz covered matrix. Very little damage, and the main crystal is in superb shape. These came out in 2017, and not since, so don't miss out, as we may never see them again. Priced at $850 in the inventory.
