Item Description

Gemmy, lustrous, light green fluorite cubes with cloudy interiors are richly festooned on the undulating matrix on this rich, showy and RARE combination plate from this less well-known mine, near the famous Rodgerley Mine. The cubes, to 1.2 cm, have satin lustre faces and green is typical color for West Pasture fluorites. A RARE contrasting accessory is the rich coverage of rosettes of oxide-tinted siderite blades. Patches of small etched galena cubes are a typical and added bonus on this most excellent large combination rarity. BRIGHT blue-purple fluorescense. Ex George Farr Collection.
