Item Description

Fluorites from the famous Elmwood Mine are among the most well-known and desirable examples of the species from any US locality. This three-dimensional and showy display piece features several sharp, gemmy, rich purple colored cubes of Fluorite with multi-level / "built-up" faces on the surface which are associated with small white curved rhombs of pearly Dolomite and VERY minor matrix on the reverse side. Every Fluorite crystal is pristine on the display side, but the piece is not complete on the back where it was removed from the pocket wall - though some crystallization can be seen. I love the mottled dark purple spots that can be seen on the faces of the Fluorites when backlit, which are actually colorless at their cores. A very good quality display specimen of this classic material from Tennessee. Priced in the inventory at $1,250.
