Item Description

This is an attractive small cabinet specimen of Fluorite from the Homestake mine featuring above average "seafoam green" colored octahedra which are actually quite gemmy when backlit associated with a bit of sparkling white Quartz matrix. The piece is in really good shape overall, and you can see how nicely it displays from the photos. The largest Fluorite measures 4.0 cm across. Green octahedral Fluorite for some reason just resonates as some of the prettiest Fluorite in the world, and this is a species that comes is virtually every color, and every isometric habit there is! A great piece for any collector of Fluorites, Arizona minerals or colorful display pieces. Priced in the inventory at $750. This piece comes to us from the collection of Bob Reynolds, well-known fossil and mineral expert and former Curator of Earth Sciences at the San Bernardino County Museum in California.
