Item Description

This is the first and ONLY specimen that we've ever had to offer from this locality. Mica is not always considered a "display" species, but this one is certainly what I would call a showy display specimen. This would ordinarily be a specimen of less-than-colorful Muscovite Mica, but it has a strong green hue which caused by chromium content, creating the variety Fuchsite. This piece features shimmering, layered crystals of beautiful Fuchsite sitting on host rock matrix. Virtually impossible to find on the market, and a very worthwhile specimen for any fan of minerals of Germany or species of Mica. You would be hard-pressed to find another one of these anywhere for sale. From the collection of Bill Wilson.
