Item Description
A RARE and superb old-time terminated gem aquamarine crystal from this old Maine pegmatite area. The very glassy, limpid and lustrous textbook hexagonal crystal has a pretty light pastel greenish-blue hue and is accented with a nifty stepped termination. The little side car crystal at the base adds character. This specimen is a beautiful piece of extremely high quality for a Maine aquamarine – since most from this region are opaque or translucent. Pristine. 15.46 carats or just over 3 grams mass. Ex Havard University Collection and comes in a 8 x 7 cm Riker box.
