A showy and rich plate of goshenite beryl crystals on muscovite from this famous locale. Goshenite is the nearly colorless variety of beryl (much rarer than aquamarine). Tabular beryl crystals are renowned from Mt Xuebaoding and this is a fine small cabinet example of coloress beryl crystals. Gemmy, transparent to translucent, very glassy tabular crystals, to 2.4 cm, are richly and aesthetically scattered on the pearlescent muscovite matrix plate. An impressive specimen for this lesser-seen beryl varietal and acquired from The Rocksmiths in 2000, when they were first coming to the US market.
