Item Description

This Grossular Garnet piece consists of a multitude of lustrous, scintillating, peach-pink crystals on a microcrystalline Diopside matrix from the celebrated Jeffrey Mine in Quebec, Canada. The delicate, pale pink-peach Garnet crystals range in size from 2 mm to 1.2 cm and are juxtaposed yet still have good isolation and every one of them is a gem! There are dozens of dodecahedral crystals on this piece that just sparkle in every orientation from front to back. There is contacting around the periphery and there are a couple of dings to some of the Garnets that are detracting from value if not from beauty, yet it is still a particularly sparkling, gemlike example of this classic Garnet find, which came out over decades at this now-closed asbestos quarry. Harder and harder to get, these beautiful things
