Item Description

A classic specimen of the fairly well known yet hard to find examples of Gypsum pseudomorphing after Glauberite from Camp Verde. This piece is an attractive "rose"-esque specimen featuring excellent, remarkably distinct, sharp, well-formed crystals with a gentle almost porcelain-like white exterior. The original habit of the tabular Glauberite crystals is completely preserved now by the Gypsum. The largest individual crystal measures 4.0 cm across. A small amount of attached matrix can be seen, but the piece is crystallized all over, and is close to being a complete "floater".
