Item Description

Several finely-crystallized, pagoda shaped, black Hausmannites crystals are associated with pastel, reddish-orange colored Andradite Garnet from the famous Kalahari Manganese Field. The largest Hausmannite measures 1.5 cm across. Good quality overall, and rather showy. A very well-balanced and eye-catching specimen of what are the finest crystallized examples of Hausmannite in the world. From the collection of Charles (Charlie) Locke Key. Charlie is arguably the most sucessful dealer of the second half of the 20th century, along with being the namesake for TWO mineral species (Keyite and Ludlockite).
