Stunning herringbone skeletal forms on all four sides of this striking terminated pseudomorph from the well-known 1990s to early 2000s finds from a volcano in a national park, where collecting is now strictly prohibited. The sculptural form of this spectacular (literally) 360-degree piece is off of the charts. Hematite has replaced a dramatically elongated magnetite octahedron. The hematite has bright metallic-gray lustre. The striking side car crystal looks like a four-sided lantern. The dusting of red hematite adds contrast and color. This is a superb piece and who knows when more will come now. Pristine. Prices have come down a bit, from when these first came out, but we feel that the quality of this piece is incredibly fine.
