Item Description

A rare and unusual, tabular section of lustrous, pseudocubic hematite from the famous Franklin Mining District of New Jersey. Some of these faces are (in situ) parting cleavages, but this is simply how the material forms, and is accepted as such. The edgewear is a modest detraction to this most uncommon material from the Franklin Museum and the Gene Meieran Collection (he had a large, old sulfide suite)
