Magistral Hemimorphites are RARE on the market, and although they might resemble classic specimens from the Kelly Mine in New Mexico or the more recent discoveries from Wenshan, China, they are distinctly different and highly sought after by collectors. These specimens were mined in the 1970s, and never seen again. This is one of the best pieces of this material that we've had to offer as the color is as good as it gets. A fantastic group of choice, radiating / botryoidal, semi-translucent Hemimorphite covering both sides of the underlying matrix. The color is as fine as top quality Sleep Beauty Turquoise, and almost has an internal "glow" even in standard lighting. Individual "balls" are difficult to measure, but I can safely say they are up to at least 1.3 cm across. Very little damage to the top / display side of the piece, only a tiny bit of bruising, although the lower / back portion of the specimen is contacted where it was removed from the pocket wall. It still displays very well as you can see from the photos. If you're a fan of secondary ore minerals, worldwide Hemimorphites or you've always wanted one of these great old classics to fill a spot in your Mexican collection, don't pass this one up, as they are rarely available in this quality. Priced in the inventory at $3,500 for quality, color and the fact that you just can't find them anymore.
