Item Description

Here we have an eye-catching association specimen from one of the most well-known localities in Peru. The attractive cabinet display piece features several fine quality, sharp, lustrous, prismatic crystals of Hubnerite which are beautifully intergrown with sharp, gemmy, colorless to white prismatic Quartz crystals. The largest Hubnerite crystal measures 4.7 cm long. Nearly every Hubnerite crystal is damage free, though there are a few imperfections that I can see. It's such a showy, dramatic and three-dimensional piece that is rarely seen on the market today. The BEST part of the specimen is that the Hubnerites actually show the classic and highly desirable BLOOD RED hue in areas when backlit! A wonderful specimen of this classic and hard to find material that came out 40+ years ago. The piece comes from the famous Richard A. Kosnar collection and originally was part of the Leigh Price collection. Valued at $1,800.
