Item Description

Classic and showy large calcite from this well-known Pennsylvania quarry. The impressive translucent twinned crystal has fine form, rich honey-yellow color and striated waxy lustre faces. The crystal would be doubly terminated, but one end is dinged. This is an old classic, seldom seen today, as it comes from a major find by Bryon Brookmyer in 1990. Ex Chet Lemanski Collection and acquired in 1997. Highly representative large material from the find and famous locale. This is a stunning piece for this classic locality, and you do not see them on the market much. It is from the most famous find, dug by the most famous collector there. Valued $1500-plus
