Item Description
A sculptural and hefty CABINET specimen of classic Cobalt silver showing the hackly and bright look that makes them very collectible and identifiable. A thick, 3-dimensional, vein specimen with a bit of greenstone matrix attached to the back. This piece could have come out anywhere in the heyday of this mine, which operated from 1907 to 1940. It came through the noted John Durkos collection to the Robert Hauck silver collection. This massive piece and showy piece weighs 235 grams. It is from the Robert Hauck Collection. A major old Canadian silver, yes, but also just a big crystallized silver period! Valued at $1000.
