Item Description

Very aesthetic and impresssive large mounded fluorite and baryte combination plate from this renowned fluorite producing area. Intergrown clusters of pretty lavender fluorite cubes are dramatically accented with rosettes of starkly contrasting bone-white barite blades, to 5.0 cm. The overall effect is both classic and unique to this mine, and probably dates it to those who know the styles better than we do. The cubes, to 2.5 cm, are water-clear (mostly) to translucent and have glass-clear to satin lustre faces. The gemmy cubes have beautiful subtle light blue edge phantoms, adding much pizzazz. Purple fluorite fluorescence. Mass is 2104 grams or 4.6 pounds. An exceptional and classic large combination from the famous locale. Fairly valued at $5000-plus.
