Item Description

An impressive large and unusual quartz crystal from this famous Arkansas quartz mine. The upper half of the sharply terminated hexagonal crystal is water-clear gem with few interior veils. The lower half is transparent to translucent. The striated stepped-growth prism faces add even more character. The sloping back adds to the fascination of this striking crystal. The nearly pristine large attachment is rehealed with a myriad of glassy faces. Ex Ron Coleman Collection, owner of the mine. MUCH better in person, as the glassiness and lustre obscured the limpid quality of the crystal! RARE and unique style Arkansas quartz. This is from their personal collection of interesting singles and floaters, which I bought over a decade ago and lost a few flats in the warehouse until recently.
