Item Description

Here we have a classic example of the desirable blue, pyramdial crystals of Lazulite from the famous locality at Graves Mountain, Georgia. This piece host a large 5.0 cm, tapered crystal with a rich azure blue color, sitting on minor matrix. A tiny bit of sparkling golden Pyrite can be seen coating one face of the Lazulite. The crystal is pretty sharp, especially for the size, as they often can be crude and distorted when they get bigger. There are a few contacted areas, so the crystal is not damage free, but still a big and impressive example from this well-known locality. These are highly sought after and rarely seen these days, so if you collect phosphates, or minerals of the United States, don't miss out on this beauty.
