Item Description

An extraordinary cluster of gorgeous green, shimmering crystals of primary Malachite measuring up to an amazing 3cm on edge! Not only is this piece significant for the species due to its well-formed, large, lustrous crystals, but these primary Malachites were incredibly rare from the important and now defunct Emke Mine in Namibia. This locality is more famous for its pseudomorphs/partial replacements of Malachite after Cuprite. This is a stunning piece from this classic locality and is way better in person! In excellent condition with only few microscuffs evident under magnification. Superb for the primary, not replacement of azurite, crystals - this is a classic example in great shape. Valued at $500.
