Item Description
A classic and rich large malachite with cerussite combination from the two 1970s excavations at this famous small Cu-Pb-Zn deposit - Brown's Prospect, Rum Jungle. Glassy reticulated cerussite crystals richly cover the sculptural undulating matrix of dense hefty nicely chatoyant banded botryoidal malachite. See the 1980 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 11, No. 5. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He passed away in 2020. Fascinating and hard to get today. This is an impressive, rich and very fine large combination for the locale!
