Striking coral head-like or bulb-like clusters of multi-hued tapered rounded mimetite prisms dramatically cover the mounded hefty lead-rich small cabinet matrix on this exotic looking and uncommon varietal from famed Tsumeb. Mimetite is found in a wide range of colors and habits at Tsumeb, and this about the most unusual varietal we have seen. The trivial bit of scattered bruising has negligible impact to the overall very high quality of this piece. From the collection of prominent U.S. mineral dealer and Namibia collector Charlie Key, for whom two Tsumeb species are named, Keyite and Ludlockite (in part). RARE and rich style Tsumeb mimetite valued at $1800.
