Item Description
Burnt-orange spheres of tiny, lustrous, translucent orpiment prisms are densely intergrown on this strikingly sculptural 360-degree small cabinet from the famous Quiruvilca District. There are scattered sprays of tiny, iridescent, metallic Hutchinsonite prisms as a bonus. Hutchinsonite is a very rare thallium, lead, arsenic sulfosalt. The minimal bruising is confined to the periphery. Some of the world's finest orpiment specimens come from here and this is a very rich and showy mounded example.
