A very attractive Twin Creeks Mine Orpiment with fine, pearly luster, a rich, reddish-orange color, and crystals up to 1 cm. The gemmy crystals, when really lit up, have such nice internal reflections that they have an almost metallic look to them. This large miniature is in quite good condition with only minor bruising, and the deeper color is the exception rather than the norm for this famous locality. Quite common a few years ago in the ealry 2000's, pieces of this quality are much harder to come by now. No new mining is expected, so these are now USA classics and the best of species from the USA
