Item Description

A few fine quality, sharp, glassy, translucent Pargasite crystals with startling neon-green color are aesthetically set on the marble matrix to create this eye-catching small cabinet display specimen. The largest crystal on the piece measures 1.7 cm, which is very good sized for the locality. Pargasite is an uncommon very complex silicate species and is usually a rather dull, unattractive, dark-colored rock-former. Such specimens were collected in the late 1990s to early 2000s, with none since. An excellent example of the species and locality. Valued at $1,200 in the inventory.
