Item Description

Here we have an excellent and rarely seen doubly-terminated crystal of the rare-earth carbonate Parisite-(Ce) ON MATRIX from the famous Zagi Mt. locality in Pakistan. The sharp, well-formed, gemmy, dipyramidal, pseudohexagonal crystal (it's actually multi-terminated crystal) of Parisite measures 2.0 cm long and has a rich golden-orange hue with good internal gemminess when backlit. Associated thin black prisms of Riebeckite along with blocky crystals of off-white colored Rhabdophane-(Ce) can be seen as well on the typical granitic matrix. Fine Parisite crystals such as this one are not common in the Zagi Mountain area, especially doubly-terminated examples on matrix. Priced at $2,400 in the inventory.
