Pectolite (rare USA locale)

Item Description

A sharp and interesting specimen of slender crystals of Pectolite from Laurel Hill, New Jersey. Densely packed in a radial growth, the clear-to-white crystals have excellent luster and a long, acicular habit that lends itself to the radial growth. Quarrying occured from the 1800's to the 1950's, followed by excavation for road construction. Formerly in the extensive collection of W & A Cook.
