Item Description
Petalite, an uncommon Li-silicate mined as an ore, is rare from any Minas Gerais locale. It is VERY RARE from this obscure open-pit mine in a spodumene (Li) pegmatite. This is a euhedral colorless gem crystal with waxy lustre. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, this contacted crystal has only trivial edge wear. Specimens of ANY type are rare from here. We recently obtained this rare and interesting material from a trip to Brazil.
