Pink Hydroxyapophyllite-(K) (RARE)

Item Description

VERY RARE large indvidual crystal of this PINK variety of apophyllite, a doubly-terminated apophyllite crystal from the famous N'Chwaning II Mine. The sharp, well-formed, tetragonal dipyramidal crystal is very glassy and translucent. Crystals of this color and quality have only come out twice from the mine, according to the Colin and Helga Collection label (local Kalahari dealers for decades). They came out in the early 2000s. A superb, very rare, 360-degree and pristine single pink matrix apophyllite crystal from the noted locale.
