Plumbogummite ps. Pyromorphite

This is a lovely, flower like cluster of four, stout, sky blue crystals of of superb Plumbogummite pseudomorphs after Pyromorphite up to 5 cm in length, that clearly exhibit hopper growths at their terminations. It is exceptional all around with sharp edges and delicate, concentrically layered hoppering at the interior with a two-toned transition from yellow-green at the base to sky-blue around the periphery and the interior of each individual crystal. This color diversity represents partial replacement of Pyromorphite by Plumbogummite that is largely restricted to the exterior and seems more complete at the tops of these crystals. It is a very aesthetic pseudomorph from Yangshuo embellished with a half-dozen, robust, divergent crystals that display a delicate silky luster. A very nice example from the pocket with good sized crystals for this find, which would be huge by any other standard! This came out around 2012, and would have bene valued at $2000-2500 at the time quite easily. Specimens of this aesthetic quality, in this size range, were never common.
