Prehnite

Prehnite has always been a popular gem among collectors because of its lovely green color. Recently the new Prehnite discovery in Mali has produced some great cabbing and carving material. This material, when carved, has a very unique and attractive "soft" almost "velvety" appearance. This "Checkerboard Triangle" cut gem has a few inclusions, which is par for the course when it comes to these stones, but there are some very clean areas. This is a VERY good size stone and considering it is relatively new, it's a great gem to fill a spot in your collection.
