The O & G Quarry in Woodbury, Connecticut is a well-known trap rock quarry that has produced some attractive zeolites and associated minerals. The Prehnites from this locality are well-known to collectors for their range of beautiful colors and desirable botryoidal forms. This miniature display specimen features a coverage of beautiful, very gemmy, "water"-green colored "balls" of Prehnite with very minor basalt matrix. The Prehnite "balls" are undamaged on the display side, and feature an attractive luster on the surface. A beautiful and now fairly hard to find example of this classic material. Ex Charlie Key collection. Charlie is arguably the most successful dealer of the second half of the 20th century, along with being the namesake for TWO mineral species (Keyite and Ludlockite).
