Prismatine is a rare sorosilicate mineral, only found in about TEN localities in the world, and almost NEVER in gem quality material. This stone is from a new discovery in Tanzania, and is the first one we've ever had to offer in the auctions. It's a remarkable, beautiful pastel green (with a slight bluish overtone) color gem, and it's also clean and bright to boot, with virtually no inclusions that I can see with the naked eye. Keep in mind that crystals of Prismatine are often kind of a brown or grey hue and almost always translucent at best, so to have a gem with a wonderful and pleasing color along with excellent optic clarity is a big deal.
