Item Description

When it comes to Pyrite, the specimens from Navajun are easily one of the most easily recognizable pieces in the world. The combination of their textbook cubic form along with excellent matrix display specimens (which feature big isolated cubes) are not only highly attractive, but certainly at or near the top when it comes to excellence for the species. This piece hosts a wonderful, razor-sharp, lustrous, soft golden metallic color, textbook cube of Pyrite measuring 1.6 cm on edge sitting beautifully atop the underlying matrix. No real damage, only a few tiny imperfections and great aesthetics. Pyrite is certainly a common species in the mineral world, but you still have to appreciate the quality and quantity of fine specimens that have come from this locality, which is mined almost exclusively for its Pyrite crystals.
