Desirable, lustrous, forest-green pyromorphite crystals with interesting parallel-growth and striking hoppered terminations cover the oxide-coated mounded miniature on this very rich, showy and classic color style of pyromorphite from the famed Les Farges Mine. The crystals reach about 1.0 cm and the diverging form of the prisms adds much character. The piece displays beautifully from both sides and the bit of noted periphery wear on one side is certainly only a modest detraction. This world-class pyromorphite mine was only active from 1975 to 1981. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He passed away in 2020. A fine example of this rich color and crystal style.
