Item Description

Pyromorphite is a fairly rare mineral species from Bolivia, only found in about 9 different mines. The finest and most famous examples of the species are those from the Huari-Huari Mine. On a worldwide scale, these are not the finest Pyromorphite specimens, but for Bolivia, they are unique and interesting specimens, especially for a country that doesn't have a lot of colorful species. For any of you Pyromorphite collectors out there, this is something that is very rarely offered on the open market. This specimen hosts many tiny, sharp, hexagonal yellow-green color crystals of Pyromorphite on matrix. The biggest Pyromorphite crystal is about 2 mm, but the fact that these crystals are truly from Bolivia is what makes them so exciting. A great "locality" specimen for any Pyromorphite collector. This piece was mined in 2009.
