This is a departure from a true mineral specimen perhaps but, however, this carved decoration piece or bottle stopper is fashioned from Burmese rock crystal (Quartz). There are a myriad of diamond-shaped facets that were hand polished onto the surface of this colorless Quartz piece that is elegantly tapered to a point at the top and has a nicely ground base for fitting into whatever vessel you wish. It's literally water clear with a few barely discernible internal fractures along with an area very fine inclusions that look ethereal. A superb quartz carving, with a purpose!
