Item Description

Quartz is a beloved mineral species for its diverse amount of crystals habits found around the world. With that said, some of the most distinctive Quartz specimens found in Alpine deposits are the attractive "Faden" crystal groups. This specimen shows the classic "Faden" (German word for string) form that are well known from this locality. The piece exhibits a notable "Faden" that runs across the excellent, sharp, lustrous, colorless, GEM/gemmy, crystals creating this beautiful display specimen. There is a coating of iron oxide creating a pleasing golden-orange overtone. The overall quality of the crystals on the Quartz is very good. These Pakistani pieces seemed to have dried up in recent years, and I personally think they are highly underappreciated for what they are. Priced at $950. Enjoy. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock.
