An outstanding and aesthetic quartz "prase" from the famous skarn deposits at Serifos Island. "Prase" is the current term to describe leek-green quartz with micro- or macro-crystalline inclusions. The very sculptural cluster of four bulbous, tapered, translucent crystals is richly included with microcrystalline actinolite. The lighter green saturation at the terminations is visibly enhanced by the iron oxides and the small crystals at the base add artistic excellence to this classic and exceptional small cabinet example. The crystals have a warm green glow, when back lit. Valued at $1000-1250.
