First-rate and pretty as a complete matched set, this pair of sliced and polished, hollow, agatized coral fossil is from the world-famous and well-known locality in Tampa Bay. The white exterior and interior provides a stricking contrast to the rich, caramel-colored Agate itself. Such coloration is considered uncommon and of highest quality for this material. The polish really helps bring the color out, and when it fluoresces you can see the more intricate banding of the growth patterns. This is one of those unusual times where biology meets mineralogy, and in this case the results are highly aesthetic. Jack had each half as separate specimens in his collection, but since many Agate collectors strive to get both halves of quality Agates when they can, we did you a 'solid' and put the siblings back together for you.
