Item Description

Remarkable pristine clarity makes this single gem amethyst crystal stand out in any case. It is a striking Amethyst and clear Quartz crystal from finds in the famous Goboboseb Mountains. This dramatic piece is very glassy and almost totally water-clear. The Amethyst phantom at the interior that makes up much of the crystal is complimented by the colorless termination and makes for a very distinctive specimen. Crystal faces and edges are nicely formed with a perfect termination! Contacted on the backside where it may have grown in parallel with another Quartz crystal and then a clean break at the bottom. Ex. Rick Hottel quartz collection, previously in the Charlie Key quartz collection. Mass is 58g. Comes with a custom engraved acrylic base.
