“Herkimer-style” Quartz "diamonds" are one of those USA classics that are rather unique, so they are more than just "locality Quartz specimens" to collectors. We have seen many, as have you, but this is a particularly balanced, wonderful cluster that is all you could expect. The largest crystal is an impressive 4.1 cm, and each crsytal is glassy, gemmy, and sharp. The included Pyrobitumen adds character to the crystals. It is hard to find a quality cluster this size, and it is even better in person, as these are very tricky to photograph. This material is world famous for its superior form, amazing gemminess, and sheer quality. This floater cluster (complete all around) stands tall among its brethren.
