Quartz with Fluorite and Feldspar

Item Description

A striking, aesthetic Quartz, Fluorite and Feldspar combination piece from the Erongo Mountains. The sharply terminated, 7 cm Quartz crystal on this piece is dramatically accented with emerald-green, bi-colored, modified Fluorite cubes and remnants of some corroded Feldspar. The top third of the Quartz crystal is water-clear with the bottom two-thirds translucent to milky with the bottom and backside encrusted with heavily etched, ivory colored Feldspar and accented by modified, green Fluorite cubes. The larger, gemmy Fluorite is 1.9 cm across with purple, octahedral modified corners and adds some pizzazz to the piece. There are several smaller Fluorites present at the base admixed with the Feldspar. Both the Quartz and the Fluorites have a slight satin luster to them and are in great condition.
