A bizarre looking large quartz crystal from the Alpine-type deposits of the Ganesh Himal Massif of Nepal. Opaque dark green chlorite has totally included the sharp skewed termination of this impressive gem quartz crystal. The striking glassiness, lustre, subtle stepped-growth faces and white albite matrix at the base add even more character to this pristine and exotic 360-degree quartz. Quartz crystals of this style came out in 1999 and into the 2000s. A very fine large example. This is a VERY RARE and striking style, as few gem quartz crystals had the chlorite restricted only to the termination. Most specimens have the chlorite included in the body of the crystal.
