Item Description

The Uchucchacua mine has produced some of the finest quality Rhodochrosite specimens around. Their attractive crystals combined with rich pink and red colors make for some beautiful display specimens. This thumbnail size specimen hosts a few sharp, lustrous, red color scalenohedral crystals of Rhodochrosite measuring 8 mm long on contrasting black manganese matrix. There is a bit of damage, but still a good reference piece for the material.
