Item Description

Rhodochrosite is among the most popular of species among collectors, and it's found in wide range of styles and color in many world localities. Good Mexican Rhodochrosite specimens from Santa Eulalia are few and far between these days, but certainly sought after. This piece is a beautiful older specimen from Santa Eulalia. It consists of eye-catching spherical / "bubbly" aggregates of sparkling vivid pink Rhodochrosite measuring up to 1.7 cm across on oxidized matrix. Looking closely, I can see some tiny Quartz crystals poking through the Rhodo groups. No damage, save the periphery where it was removed from the pocket wall. Very showy and sculptural and would display beautifully in your mineral case. If you're a Rhodo collector, a Mexican mineral collector, or a if you just like colorful display pieces from less common localities, this piece is for you.
