This is a small cabinet specimen of the classic and highly desired combination of sharp rhodochrosite rhombohedrons, purple fluorite, tetrahedrite, and small, slender quartz crystals - a classic 1990's Sweet Home Mine combo! Riva's Pocket is one of a very few with such a mix of purple and red, the two species side by side, and a specimen like this is considered very rare. The dominant, purple-blue fluorite crystal measures 1.8 cm across, with stepped growth along the edges and crystal faces. It features a darker core, with paler edges. The largest rhombohedral rhodo crystal measures 1.4 cm on edge, and various metallic tetrahedrite crystals are dusted with chalcopyrite. As an added bonus, several apatite crystals dot are scattered amongst the piece in the faintest green hue. An aesthetic small cabinet example that displays beautifully, and is hard to find today.
