Item Description

A classic from the famous Sunnyside Mine in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. Several sharp, well-formed, semi-lustrous, baby pink colored rhombs measuring up to 7 mm sit atop a matrix covered with little white Quartz crystals. The main Rhodo crystals are undamaged, but a few of the secondary smaller crystals have some contacts / cleaves. A showy little miniature of this beloved material. From the collection of Gary Weaver of Prescott, Arizona (1944-2019). Gary was an electrical engineer who worked for many years for Hughes Aircraft in California. You can read Gary's obituary here https://www.dcourier.com/news/2019/apr/27/obituary-gary-richard-weaver/
