Rhodochrosite with Kentrolite (rare French locale!)

Sugary, translucent pink rhodochrosite crystals, to 8 mm, attractively line a sculptural vug in the RARE matrix of Kentrolite, a rare Pb-Mn-silicate. This impressive and rare combination miniature is from 2008 find in Level 1 of this well-known open pit lead-zinc deposit. Kentrolite had never been found at the mine before. The specimen is illustrated in the MINDAT Photo Gallery for the locale with two photos. Ex Dr. Vasco Trancoso Collection. An excellent combination example of the species and locale. We have simply never had another one of these for sale, to compare it too ! Valued ???
